Explore the Nisa fortress that was listed as a UNESCO heritage site; the castle that was built by the Parthian Kings and the Gypjak Mausoleum. Overnight in Ashgabat.
Learn more about Turkmenistan’s history at the State Museum that has items from the ancient cities of Nisa and Merv. On the way to Mary, there are old ruins of Annau and the archaeological site of the ancient city of Abiward. Overnight in Mary.
Visit the ruins of the Ancient Merv which was one of the most important cities on the Silk Road and is listed as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Tour museums of ethnography and archeology of Turkmenistan. Return to Ashgabat for overnight.
