Your adventure starts in the colourful capital city of Antananarivo. Begin with a trip to the Ambohimanga, a historical site and UNESCO World Heritage site which has the royal palace or the Rova. This site provides rather interesting information about the cultural profile of Madagascar. Following lunch, transfer to Andasibe where you will be lodged in a beautiful hotel in preparation for the next day’s activities.
Greetings to the Andasibe area! This day is devoted for the discovery of the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. Hike through the tropical rainforest to see the most famous species of lemurs, the Indri Indri and other endemic animals. The flowers and animals give a unique experience to tourists who love nature. At the end of the day, go back to your beautiful hotel in Andasibe you have been staying in.
Move on from Andasibe towards Foulpointe, a beautiful coastal town by the Indian Ocean. After the intense days with visiting of the interesting places, Foulpointe with its beautiful sandy beaches and a calm climate is a perfect place to rest. Overnight in a nice and cozy hotel right on the beach with the sound of the ocean in the background.
Step aside from the route and enjoy the coastal scenery of Foul pointe. Sunbathe on beautiful sandy beaches, go for a swim in the turquoise sea, or visit the picturesque town. Taste the local meals especially the seafood meals which are a specialty in Foulpointe. Staying in your beachfront hotel for another night will help you get a good night’s rest.
On your way back to Antananarivo, it is advisable to make a stop over at Mantasoa, a beautiful lake side resort. Take a boat ride in the scenic area of Mantasoa Lake. The most exciting part of this visit is the possibility to observe maki, or lemur, which is endemic to Madagascar. Take a comfortable hotel for the night near the lake.
